Tuppy Terms of Use
Draft, for review before Tuppy launches. Tuppy isn't available yet, and this page may change before it is.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms are between you and Brad Mead, trading as Tuppy (a sole trader) ("we", "us"), of [TODO: postal address, added before launch], United Kingdom. By creating a family on Tuppy you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use Tuppy
- Parents and carers create the family account. You must be 18 or over, and be the parent or legal guardian (or have the guardian's permission) of every child you add.
- Children use Tuppy only through a family a parent set up, on a device the parent paired. A child cannot make their own account.
- Please read our Privacy Policy. Setting up a child means you consent, as their parent, to the data use it describes.
2. What Tuppy does
Children do real-world tasks, show proof with a photo, and a parent approves them. Approved tasks earn Tups, which the child can swap for screen time or rewards the parent has set up. Tuppy uses Apple's Screen Time features to help lock and unlock apps on the child's device.
Tuppy is a family tool, not a replacement for supervision. We can't promise it will block every app or website, or work if a device is changed, reset, offline, or its Screen Time settings are altered. Apple controls Screen Time; some behaviour is outside our control.
3. Tups
- Tups are a tracking unit inside the app, with no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money from us, transferred out of a family, or sold.
- Tups can't be bought. No payment, subscription or gift code gives, sells or tops up Tups.
- A parent decides how many Tups a task earns and how many minutes a Tup is worth. A parent can approve, decline, adjust or remove Tups. Rewards (for example pocket money) are agreed between the family; Tuppy doesn't pay or deliver them.
- We may correct mistakes in the Tups ledger caused by a fault in the app.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in and parent PIN secure. Don't share the PIN with children.
- Use the app lawfully and sensibly. Set screen-time limits that are healthy for your family. Don't use Tuppy to harm, shame or punish a child unreasonably.
- Photos must show the task only. Don't photograph other people, or anything inappropriate or unlawful. Parents should help children follow this.
- Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, overload or get around the security of the app or its servers.
5. Tuppy Plus (subscription)
Tuppy is free for one child, with up to 5 tasks switched on at a time, photo proof and approvals, Tups, screen time, a daily limit and bedtime. Tuppy Plus is an optional subscription for parents that adds more children and tasks, the rewards shop, school hours, weekend limits, grounding, nudges, a co-parent and full history.
- Prices: £29.99 a year (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) or £4.99 a month, or the local equivalent shown in the App Store before you buy. Prices include VAT where it applies.
- Billing and renewal: payment is taken by Apple from your Apple Account when you confirm (or when the free trial ends). The subscription renews automatically at the same length and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current period. Manage or cancel it in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Family Sharing is switched on, so people in your Apple family can use Tuppy Plus too.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules. Your statutory rights as a UK consumer are unaffected.
- If Tuppy Plus ends, nothing is deleted. Extra children, tasks and rewards are paused (kept, read-only) until you subscribe again or choose which to keep.
- A subscription never changes what a child can earn, and Tups can never be bought.
6. Your content
You (and your children) keep ownership of the photos, task names and anything else you put into Tuppy. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for your family, as the Privacy Policy describes. Proof photos are deleted after 30 days.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Tuppy running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features, and will give reasonable notice of anything significant. We may update these terms; we'll tell you in the app before important changes take effect, and you can stop using Tuppy if you disagree.
8. Ending your account
You can delete a child or your family account in the app at any time, which deletes the data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts someone at risk.
9. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to that, we aren't responsible for losses that weren't a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, or caused by things outside our control (including Apple's systems, device changes or internet outages), and we are not responsible for how a family uses rewards, screen time or discipline. Tuppy is provided for personal, non-commercial family use.
10. Law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales; you can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. To complain, email support@tuppy.app and we'll reply within 14 days.
